'Sahabat Laut' — meaning 'Friends of the Ocean' — is a fundraiser campaign film created to raise money for marine conservation camps for children in Raja Ampat. The camps are run in collaboration with Child Aid Papua, with the goal of giving more kids of Raja Ampat access to environmental education.
Over the course of three days, the children learn about the marine environment, marine conservation, and the unique ocean ecosystems of Raja Ampat. They join snorkel trips and visit nearby marine conservation projects, gaining first-hand experience with the underwater world they call home.
By empowering the next generation with knowledge and connection to the sea, the Sahabat Laut camps plant the seeds for a future where local kids become the protectors of one of the most biodiverse marine regions on Earth.
